A. Michelle Long Spears serves as President and CEO of NP Voice (NPV). Since founding this social impact enterprise in 2015, NPV has evolved into a multi-service, international consulting firm focused on connecting mission to resources, funding and community. In the past three years, her team has impacted approximately 375 organizations; launched/engaged with 28 local, regional and national multi-sector collaborations; developed 91 fund and resource development strategy solutions; and coached/developed 87 regional leaders.
Her vision, thought leadership and impact on community and organizational excellence has been nationally recognized in the social sector: Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute Angel in Adoption Award, ADDY Award for a Nonprofit, John Cotton Dana Award, Kennedy Award Nomination, and Legislative Fellowship Award from Georgia State University and the Georgia Senate Budget & Evaluation Office. She is a proud graduate of Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2010, Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute Class of 2016, and the United Kingdom’s Forum For the Future School of System Change US cohort in 2019.
Michelle began her career at the YMCA, an internationally respected nonprofit where she worked for three associations. Prior to NP Voice, Michelle served in leadership roles for a cross-section of nonprofit, government, and corporate entities. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Houston, completed post-baccalaureate studies in communications and social work, and achieved a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. In December 2014, Michelle completed a second graduate degree, Master of Public Policy from Georgia State University.
Organizational Development & Change Management
John Theoharis brings over twenty years of executive management experience and ten years of cross-cultural work and leadership experience to NP Voice. He travels globally, working with community leaders, nonprofits, social impact organizations, and NGOs to help them develop and manage organizational and systems change initiatives effectively.
In addition to his work at NP Voice, John currently serves on two nonprofit boards and spends most of his free time mentoring at-risk youth. He is also the founder and chairman of LEAD Missions International –an International NGO that is focused on creating and delivering innovative leadership training programs to youth and young adults throughout East Africa.
John is a graduate of Metro Atlanta Seminary (B.Th.), Belhaven University (MSOL), and the Executive Management Program at the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business.
AMELIA "MEL" SHENSTONE
Mel is an experienced nonprofit program director, facilitator, strategic thinker, and fundraiser. She combines top-notch organizing skills gained over twelve years in the energy and environment sectors with deep emotional literacy. She directed programs for the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy for many years, where she steered internal strategic planning and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and was a founding member of Partnership for Southern Equity’s Just Energy Circle. She was the youngest-ever President of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta; she remains an educator and worship leader while progressing toward ordained ministry. She is the founder of Whole Visions consulting.
Mel is a graduate of Green Corps, the field school for environmental organizing, and Mount Holyoke College.
Logan is an experienced marketer and communicator with a history of working in the civic & social organization industry. Logan currently serves as the Marketing & Communications Manager of Leadership Gwinnett. She is skilled at developing communication strategies that help advance current efforts to catalyze impact. These strategies include web communications, email campaigns, social media, community involvement, brand enhancement, and media outreach.
Logan is a graduate of Gwinnett Young Professionals Leadership Institute and Glance Gwinnett and serves on the Gwinnett Cares Marketing Committee. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Georgia Southern University.
